BDS & MDS department

Department of Periodontology

Healthy gums and dental implants — from deep cleaning and laser gum treatment to bone grafts, regenerative surgery and sinus lifts.

What we teach and treat

Periodontics, lasers and implants — delivered with gentle care.

The department is committed to excellence in teaching, clinical practice and research in periodontal and peri-implant health — the health of the gums and bone that support natural teeth and dental implants. Preventing, diagnosing and managing gum and peri-implant disease, while building clinical skill and critical thinking in its students, is at the heart of its work. Its fully equipped undergraduate and postgraduate clinics use advanced technology, including lasers and piezosurgery, and its surgeons restore missing teeth by placing and maintaining dental implants. The department offers the MDS in Periodontology.
