BDS & MDS department
Department of Paedodontics & Preventive Dentistry
What we teach and treat
Gentle care for growing smiles.
The department trains BDS and MDS students in the dental care of infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health-care needs, through structured teaching, supervised clinical work, research and continuing dental education. Its care is child-centred, evidence-based and minimally invasive, with a strong emphasis on prevention and painless treatment — from managing early childhood tooth decay and laser dentistry to complete oral rehabilitation under conscious sedation or general anaesthesia. The department offers the MDS in Paedodontics & Preventive Dentistry.
Healthy smiles, happy children, lifelong care.
